Holistic Health Science Research On XYLITOL
XYLITOL is a naturally occurring form of the five-carbon sugar xylose.
Xylitol is found in many fruits and vegetables such as plums, corn
and strawberries. Xylitol is also produced in small
amounts in the human body. The main source of commercially
produced Xylitol are corn cobs and birch bark.
Discovered in the late 19th century, Xylitol remained relatively
unappreciated until sugar shortages in Finland during World War ll.
The Finns had no domestic supply of sugar so they started using Xylitol.
Since then Xylitol has become a sweetner for diabetics, because
it is independent of insulin. Europeans and Asians have used it in this
capacity for decades. Many countries even use it in IV solutions for these
same reasons.
Another attribute of Xylitol is that, unlike other sugars which promote
tooth decay, Xylitol actually prevents it.
Scientists at Tuku University in Finland first discovered Xylitols effects
on dental health in the the early 1970's. Xylitol fights cavities,
plaque, dry mouth and neutralizes plaque acids and even remineralizers
tooth enamel. Since this discovery, the Finnish government has saved
millions of dollars by using Xylitol in its health programs.
Some of the latest research has found that Xylitol, in addition to being
a sweetner plus good for oral hygeine, it has also been effective
in helping to prevent many types of infections.
Generally infection happens when bacteria enters the body and attaches
to cells and infects them. In the presences of Xylitol, some infection-causing
bacteria loose the ability to adhere to these cells. Without this adhesion,
infection is very limited if not impossible.
Other bacteria ingest Xylitol but can't break it down. Either way, bacterial
growth is inhibited. Using Xylitol could be a great way to avoid
many of the problems associated with the overuse of antibiotics.
Xylitol works differently than antibiotics, it doesn't kill the bacteria it
washes them away. Therefore, bacteria can't develope a resistance
to Xylitol like they do to other antibiotics.
Xylitol is the sweetest of all bulk sugar substitutes, but is not a
chemical product. Xylitol is as sweet as sucrose, taste as good
and has no after taste. Xylitol also has 40% less calories
than sugar and for this reason, a caloric value in dietary intake.
Xylitol is a remarkable substance, it is all natural, not a drug,
and not habit-forming. Babies and small children can use it.

Why CHEWS CONTROL
over other Xylitol products?
"Holistic Health Science has been working
for the last few years on a healthy product that
aids in weight loss and oral hygiene health.
We have combined organic cinnamon with the
cooling and slight numbing effects of Xylitol..
this combination together stimulates the
tastes buds and satisfies the desire for sugary
sweets, while cleaning and refreshing your mouth.
CHEWS CONTROL DOES NOT CONTAIN:
artificial color, flavorings, additives, aspertame,
phenylalanine or titanium dioxide.
CHEWS CONTROL along with recommended
suggestions on the label... works ! ...
